Wicker is very appropriate for a sun room. It can enhance the relaxing vacation-like atmosphere of the room. You can display several beautiful green plants or brightly colored flowers on the shelves of a wicker plant stand. Adding shelving to a sun room would give you a place to put books, magazines, or other items you frequently use while enjoying that room. You could even display a collection of light weight blankets on the shelves to have them within reach on a cool morning or chilly evening.
If you have chosen to design a bedroom using wicker furniture, adding complimentary shelving to the walls would help expand the relaxing, casual theme you are striving for. There is no reason to have an empty corner in a room where the design style is open, airy, and casual. Corner shelving units can change a dull, empty corner into an eye catching part of the room. You can choose from corner wall units or floor units.
Wicker shelves can be used to add a decorative touch to some unexpected places. A shelf and mirror combination would be a nice addition to a foyer. It would visually expand the space.
